cocky people, sushi (yes, I’ve tried it), humid climates, 95% of all television shows, coffee, pushy salesmen, paying extra for more chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant, televangelists

He ain’t cute but he sure is friendly!

Likes:

The Rocket Jones owner, my five beautiful children and how unique each one of them are, asian food, Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version), coffee, micro beer (especially Bristol Brewing), good friends, long talks over wine or coffee, cooking, eating buffalo wings while watching the Broncos, good books, Adele, U2, Johnny Cash, family, horses, dogs, our cat Jack and our three rats, the name “Rocket Jones” (i think it is the coolest company name around), the office staff (they are the coolest people to work with), old town, crunching ice, Rasta Pasta, riding bikes around old town and the college on a summer night, SuperTarget, hot tubs while snowing, movies at the Lyric, and again, the Rocket Jones owner

Dislikes:

Being cold, headaches, thoughtless drivers, warm beer, political ads, poverty, mindless tv shows, burnt coffee, being sad, not being organized, loud train whistles, January, a dirty house, Hannah Montana crap, Walmart, miso, growing old, Carl’s Jr, when good friends live far away, the “View”, old hillbilly music, laundry, Stallone movies, and big spiders

Strengths:

Sweet as corn syrup and only half as sticky.

Likes:

hanging out with friends, programming in PHP, snowshoeing, watching movies with a bowl of popcorn and Hot Tamales, backpacking, coffee cake smothered in homemade applesauce, “The Office”, camping, playing Thomas the Train with my son, coffee, the drive-in, my daughters laughing and singing, mountain biking, anything made by Apple Inc., buffalo wings, Dr. Pepper, music (most of it anyway), mowing the lawn, the indie theater, snow, Woodchuck hard cider, Lucida Grande, a hard laugh

Dislikes:

The Duck, buttermilk, anyone who started a pop-music career before they were out of puberty, car maintenance, angry and/or irrational people, Ben Affleck & Keanu Reeves’s acting, lukewarm showers, Papyrus, drama queens (or kings), stress, baby blue

Strengths:

A genuine know-it-all without being annoying like a regular know-it-all.

Likes:

reading, camping and backpacking, watching my children sleep, playing piano, lasagna, the smell of freshly baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, sunsets, campfires, baby kisses, word games, deep conversations with friends, dates with my husband, free babysitters, ball pythons, Reese’s peanut butter cups, people who like my kids, Johnny Carinos, finding a spelling or grammar error in something professional, Rice Krispie cakes

Dislikes:

temper tantrums, making dinner, fake laughter, poopy diapers, selfishness (especially my own), 7 a.m., squash (the vegetable), shopping, coffee, cold feet, laziness, Reese’s pieces, dog kisses, finding a babysitter, the Easter bunny, spiders, falling in the Ironforge lava pit, self-deceit

Strengths:

Everyone’s favorite person on the team (she cuts the paychecks).

Likes:

blues, rock, and folk music, programming, guitars, non-fiction reading, Starbucks, technology, hiking, camping, contemplating on how I will one day rule the interwebs, my Mac and iPhone

Dislikes:

green chili, seafood, rap and hip-hop music, loud people, getting clothes as gifts, the neo-cons, Microsoft, Internet Explorer

Strengths:

If you want to know about anything related to computer technology, ask him first.

Likes:

hanging out with close friends and family, thrift stores, Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, learning new skills, watching indie films, photography, converse, playing instruments, video editing, Mexican food, sleeping, riding beach cruisers in/to/around Old Town, road trips, drinking hot coffee in cold weather, chocolate, helping people, eating in Old Town, writing songs for friends

Dislikes:

know-it-alls, fleece, dirty clothes, student loans, waking up early

Strengths:

She is short but tolerable.

Likes:

music, Serj Tankian, skateboarding, longboarding, coffee, red wine, playing piano, friends, Guinness, ultimate frisbee, smoking hookah, philosophical conversations, Fort Collins, Rasta Pasta, breakfast food, writing, reading, New Belgium, the ocean, seattle, clam chowder, camping, Disney World

Dislikes:

fake people, shivering, feeling like I’ve wasted a day, being tired, losing, being lonely, bad music, onions, racism, sexism, cheap alcohol, war, people who blindly follow

Strengths:

Can run an espresso machine and a server at the same time.

Likes:

family weekends, mysteries, new recipes, solving problems, eating outside in the summer, cooking without a recipe, strong coffee, dark chocolate, art galleries, travel, Sandra Bullock movies, Old Town, mechanical pencils, wine, Target, projects, newspapers, museums, painting

Dislikes:

yard work, long car trips, cold winters, itchy wool, board games, chipped dishes, fast food, painting prep

Strengths:

Her pinky finger works harder than my whole body.

Likes:

chips and salsa, good rock ‘n roll, some cheesy rock ‘n roll, Spinal Tap, the office, pizza, FOTC, gibson guitars, fender amps, recycling, 24, ableton live, summer, steak, video codecs, the crown pub, everything my wife cooks, craigslist, fantasy football

Dislikes:

winter, mushrooms, wet socks, long waits for "fast" food, huge cell phones, fantasy basketball

Strengths:

Good at getting jobs.

breathing air, my wife’s nose, the Zebra M-301 mechanical pencil, In-N-Out Burger, See’s Candy, my parents, snow, maps, geometry, making things, a deep pile of hot embers, George Bailey, solitude, John Singer Sargent, syncopation and unusual time signatures, the number 47, watching my kids play on the trampoline, looking at really expensive mountain bikes, riding my relatively inexpensive mountain bike, ponderosa forests, human vision

Dislikes:

this picture of me, the smell of rotting mice, Florida, thinking of things to say to people I meet, “visited” links, when I do things I know I shouldn’t, burning my tongue, rhubarb pie, when people try to defend PC’s, potato chips crumbs packed under my eyelids, healthy bread with birdseed in it, crowds, the word bistro, artificially adopted "style"

Strengths:

Is only bipolar half of the time.

Likes:

Avocados, Aretha Franklin, sci-fi, the Bean Cycle, so much tea, my wonderful family, Paul Simon, foxes, country and hip-hop music (let the ridicule begin), oatmeal in the mornin’, my beautiful friends, Ray Bradbury, hitting the snooze button, writing stories, people watching, used clothing, pipe tobacco, Neko Case (x100), walking, wandering the library, my parent’s hot tub in the snow, jazz vocalists, fruits and vegetables, horchata, my bicycle Laurel, the Poudre River, sneezing, contemplating the mysteries of space, not owning a car, pretty words, pretty pictures, local music, local anything, and all the little moments in between.

Dislikes:

Pop stars, anything Disney, wind, remembering people’s names after I meet them, nausea, drama, restless sleep, the word “supermarket”, any food that comes from the sea, talking on the phone, Wal-Mart, fast food, television, small talk and The Man.

Strengths:

Can sing, dance, and looks good on paper!

Likes:

Tasty restaurants, typing, people with stories, corgis, the word “weasel”, sushi, traveling, reading, cooking, learning something new, ginger ale, clothes fresh from the dryer, the web

Dislikes:

Moochers, driving during rush hour, overhype, missing sleep, persistent northerly winds, overpriced meals

Strengths:

Only person I know who can smile upside-down.
